OCEAN VIEW SUNDAY WORSHIP AT HOME

OCTOBER 11, 2020

WELCOME

Before we come into God’s presence together this morning, prepare yourself and space for a time of worship— grab your Bibles and turn to the Ephesians 4, get comfortable, prepare your mind and heart with prayer. Now let us worship our Lord, as a people scattered throughout the city, in spirit and in truth.

Call to Worship

Now join in the call to worship by reading aloud together

Psalm 52:8-9

“But I am like an olive tree flourishing in the house of God; I trust in God’s unfailing love for ever and ever. For what you have done I will always praise you in the presence of your faithful people. And I will hope in your name, for your name is good.”

Sing to the Lord from your heart with joy and thanksgiving!

SONG - doxology

SONG - o praise the name

SONG - hallelu, hallelu

(Kids help your parents sing this one!)

Offering

Prayer for the Offering

Have a family member pray for God’s continued blessing on the church.

We thank You today for Your blessings that you bestow upon us all. Father, I pray for our congregation today. Lord, may we all give with gladness and sincerity. Father, no one ever gives a present to someone with reluctance and we should never give You what already belongs to You with reluctance either. Bless these tithes and offerings this day. In Jesus name, Amen.

We thank God today for your faithful and generous giving during this time of separation. During the Sunday closure time, we are directing people to give through our secure, online portal.

If you prefer to write a check you can still mail it to our church address or drop it by the church office:

1900 S. Western Ave. San Pedro, CA 90732

Please click the button below to give. It will open in a new browser window:

SCRIPTURE READING

Have someone read the Scripture for today.

“When Scripture Speaks, God Speaks.”

Ephesians 4: 1-6

I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, 2 with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, 3 eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. 4 There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call— 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6 one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.
